Derek update

The attached picture was taken a few hours ago…me & the Interbank Processing team—US shift.

On Saturday night I was out shopping but came back about 15 minutes before the explosions occurred. One went off about 3 miles from the hotel but I didn’t hear it. I did see some flashes in the distance through my window but didn’t think anything of it until I turned on the TV & saw the news coverage.  I called Karri shortly thereafter. The death total is now at 42.
Messages were sent to all BofA employees at the hotel to not go out. So we were sequestered for the rest of the weekend, which was fine with me since I was not feeling well & slept all day Sunday. .Was a bit scary at first, but now is BAU.
I was escorted by security in the car today as precaution but don’t think that will continue.
Work is going good, trade volume a bit slow today b/c of the UK holiday but still busy training and answering questions.
I am enjoying myself, though it’s not easy working the night shift. I leave the hotel at 5:30 PM and leave work at 5 am the next day, so usually sleep from around 9am to 3 pm.
